The School Accountant plays a vital role in supporting the financial and operational backbone of the school.
This cross-functional position involves managing accounting systems, payroll, banking, procurement, student billing, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is
accurate, discreet, and collaborative - with strong financial discipline.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in finance. School experience would be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or equivalent) and Excel.
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, invoicing, reconciliations, and audits.
- Understanding of payroll and statutory compliance.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Desirable:
Comfort with multi-currency accounting and banking systems.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or equivalent) and Excel. Demonstrated experience with budgeting, invoicing, reconciliations, and audits. Understanding of payroll and statutory compliance. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
