Job Description
Title: Repatriation Officers (1 Post)
Under contract for one year (Renewable based upon positive performance assessment)
Location: Kigali
Level: 5.II
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct community mobilization and sensitization before, during and after the arrival of returnees to the District;
- Encourage Local Authorities to play a more active role in sustainable reintegration of returned refugees through the allocation of resources to activities and initiatives in which returnees themselves can make a contribution and also benefit from them;
- Foster linkages between all the partners in the Joint Program and the District representatives of line Ministries and Local Authorities;
- On the basis of information provided by MIDIMAR, facilitate meetings of returnees to discuss their challenges, offer advice and possible solutions;
- Collect data on vulnerable returnee households, monitor progress and propose assistance through the Joint Program;
- Coordinate and document the assistance provided to vulnerable returnee households through the Joint Program;
- Provide relevant and timely information on all matters relating to the Joint Program in his Districts of responsibility and attend regular coordination meetings in Kigali;
- Report to the Project Manager;
- Perform other duties as it may be required by his/her supervisor
Job Profile
Qualifications
A0 in Law, Political Science, Public Administration, Development Studies, Social Sciences, social work, Sociology
Key Technical Skills Knowledge required :
- High level of analytical capability, writing and presentation skills;
- Strong knowledge of the data collection, treatment, and manipulation techniques typically associated with it;
- Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda (oral and written) a minimum working knowledge of French is an advantage.
