About the role
To ensure sustainable purchasing of all products and services whilst ensuring quality control and compliance with Rubis Energy Rwanda policies and procedures. The role also focuses on building long term relationships with suppliers.

Responsibilities
• Assist in creating and implementing procurement strategies that are innovative and cost-effective.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors in the industry and critical suppliers/ pre qualification; defining lead times; supplier development /Management of suppliers and stakeholder relationships.
• Handle all exports (Dry cargo) in a timely manner & ensure all documentation is done in line with company procedures and statutory requirements observed.
• Assist in the development and implementation and review of procurement policies, processes and procedures and subsequent compliance.
• Ensure compliance to ISO 9001:2015 QMS requirements in all tasks
• Compare pricing proposals and product specifications.
• Negotiate with suppliers to reduce costs.
• Review contract specifications in liaison with legal on behalf of the company; Contracting
• Communicate with suppliers to ensure that products arrive on time.
• Oversee timely procurement of overseas and local items in line with user department requirements
• Prepare monthly procurement reports
• Approving Purchase Orders as per Procurement Policy.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and articulate the value that procurement adds to the business.
• Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.
• Keep abreast of changing industry trends.
• Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by Management.


Requirements
Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or any other relevant field from a reputable university.
• At least 5 years’ experience Procurement or Supply Chain Management
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as dexterity in “reading the market”.
• Outstanding negotiation and networking skills
• Superb communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• In-depth knowledge of contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
• Experience in collecting and analyzing data
• Aptitude in decision-making and working with number

Level of Education:
Bachelor Degree
