Job Responsibilities:
- Tool Development & Performance Analysis:
- Develop a comprehensive tool to assess forest sector performance.
- Research & Extension:
- Translate research findings into actionable extension messages for program innovations.
- Create client-centered, research-based extension materials.
- Training & Capacity Building:
- Design tailored forest training modules for professionals.
- Organize annual competitions for best forest practitioners.
- Conduct in-service training for field staff and professionals.
- Train field staff to educate volunteers and resource persons.
- Educational Support:
- Provide field staff with support materials for educational programs.
- Offer technical guidance to field staff as needed.
- Applied Research:
- Plan and conduct research to address practical challenges in forestry.
- Identify research gaps and assist in problem-solving.
- Public Outreach & Advocacy:
- Disseminate information via mass media (articles, radio, TV).
- Engage with forest commodity groups, industries, and organizations.
- Market the organization’s achievements through exhibitions.
- Professional Contributions:
- Publish articles in journals, newsletters, and policy briefs.
- Participate in forestry societies and forums.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other tasks assigned by the NTFP Unit.
Qualifications:
Education (One of the following):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agro-forestry, Forestry, or Agriculture.
- No prior experience required (entry-level position).
