UMUTANGUHA FINANCE COMPANY (UFC) Plc is a microfinance institution licensed by the National Bank of Rwanda.
The institution wishes to recruit a Financial Director who will work closely with the General Management, various business departments, and the institution's technical partners.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Centralizes the monthly financial reporting of the company: BNR / Group / Social accounts format.
- Prepares annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and ensures that the data presented in the accounting system are reliable and accurate.
- Ensures compliance with central bank regulations and advises the General Director on required adjustments.
- Organizes, controls, and supports the financial management of the company.
- Supports the improvement of the company's financial processes in collaboration with the group's support services.
- Analyzes indicators to optimize profitability and potentially reorient strategy.
- Implements procedures and indicators necessary for monitoring activities and FINAFRICA reporting.
- Establishes budgets (P&L / Cash-Flow / Balance Sheet) and business plans and ensures their monitoring.
- Monitors and updates the company's cash flow plans.
- Manages the administrative and financial service team.
- Organizes, supervises, and coordinates all activities under their responsibility, ensuring the adequacy of needs and human/material resources.
- Trains and shares knowledge with the finance department team to ensure they fulfill their roles and responsibilities.
- Performs any mission related to the position at the request of the General Management of UFC Plc, FINAFRICA, or the DAF.
REQUIRED PROFILE
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s +5 in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting as a Financial Director in a financial institution.
- CPA or ACCA certification is mandatory.
- Experience in a multi-site and/or group context is a plus.
Personal Qualities
- Leadership, rigor, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in an organization.
- Excellent communication in English and French (Kinyarwanda is a plus).
- Listening skills, internal customer orientation, and synthesis mindset.
