Re: Construction of climate smart post-harvest handling facilities of fresh produce to reduce losses for vegetables.
Background information
Kilimo Trust (KT) is a not-for-profit organization working on agriculture and agribusiness for development and creation of employment opportunities across East Africa (Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Burundi).
Kilimo Trust Rwanda is implementing the Good Food for Cities (GFC) Project, a 5-year initiative (2022-2026) implemented in Rubavu District to increase production and commercialization of affordable, healthy, and nutritious food (especially vegetables) produced using regenerative and other sustainable production practices with funding from the Belgian Government (DGD) through Rikolto SON.
Through GFC Project, Kilimo Trust Rwanda invites bids from eligible bidders to construct One (1) facility of Zero Energy Charcoal Cooler for fresh vegetables and fruits and One (1) Zero Energy Drying Facility for onions in Rubavu District under GFCProject to enable farmers to reduce post-harvest losses of their produce especially for fruits and vegetables.
