Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit monthly financial reports, including monthly revenue and expense statements.
- Conduct daily and monthly reconciliations, including bank, billing, receipts, accounts receivable/payable, revenue, and aging reports using Fusion Books, TOS, and EBM systems.
- Maintain and monitor the fixed assets register, including additions deletion and depreciation schedules.
- Track and manage prepayments advances and recurring charges.
- Post necessary adjustments during monthly closings.
- Coordinate with the commercial team and clients to ensure timely accounts receivable collection.
- Handle tax submissions such as VAT, PAYE, and pension contributions, and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Review compliance manuals and assist in preparation of compliance reports.
- Manage and document contracts related to revenue and expenditures, including renewals.
- Supervise procurement procedures and ensure policy compliance.
- Oversee insurance matters including reporting and timely renewal.
- Ensure adherence to the group’s accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience in the accounting and finance department of a multinational company; experience in port operations is a plus.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or management accounting.
- CPA qualification is added advantage
- Proficient in Tally, Oracle, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Familiarity with container port terminal operations is an added advantage.
