JOB DETAILS:
Statistician
Job description
• Create a system that facilitate effective collection and correction of data in the sector;
• Collect data and evidences for elaboration of sector policies, strategies and plans;
• Cross check and triangulate the sector’s available data and figures with publicly available sources;
• Report, drafting, and submission to the Director General of Future Planning;
• Provide an essential framework to be used in the collection, preparation, recording and use of statistics in the sector;
• Undertake important recommendations for research in the sector;
• Ensure regular update of the sector databank;
• Collaborate with technical staff in developing tools that facilitate stakeholders to harmonize and exchange sector related information;

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics
0 Year of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics
0 Year of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science
0 Year of relevant experience

• Integrity
• Strong critical thinking skills and excellent problem solving skills.

• Digital literacy skills
• Knowledge and experience in the use of statistical packages (SPSS, STATA, CSPro)
• Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/or French. Knowledge of all is an added advantage
• Deep understanding of Research Methodologies and Statistics Concepts
