Statistician

Job description

1. Statistical data collection and analysis
• Design data management tools (data base and others);
• Design data analysis tools;
• Discuss the relevance of tools and data with both NISR and Ministry senior officers in line with development programs;
• Interpret data and make sure that the right decisions are made based on the results;
• Consider and ensure decentralization principles in data collection and analysis.

2. Consolidated disaster and refugees’ information system
• Regularly update refugee and disaster statistics;
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual report on the Ministry related statistics and advise accordingly;
• Propose appropriate data exchange mechanism and dissemination;
• Regularly update KPI into the Government Command Center.

3. Contribute in Ministry’s activity monitoring and evaluation
• Set metrics to gauge progress against targets;
• Monitor Ministry’s activities using quantitative methods;
• Conduct surveys on Ministry’s and partners interventions with regards to DRRM and refugee management.

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics
