The following services and deliverables will be provided by the service provider to be commissioned:

• Establish nurseries of agroforestry tree seedlings in proximity of the production zones of the farmers.
• Produce a total number 15,000 tree seedlings including a minimum of 12 species which are suitable/compatible to be intercropped with arabica coffee crop for each coffee cooperative/company for the planting season. The following tree species and cover crops are needed for the planting period of mid-October- early November 2023:

1. Agroforestry trees species:

1. Musa spp. Musa paradisiaca (Banana)
2. Ficus spp. (Umuvumu)
3. Calliandra calothyrsus
4. Maesopsis emimii
5. Cedrela serrulate
6. Leucaena diversifolia

2. Cover crops, grasses for mulching, food crops and biopesticides species:

1. Desmodium grass 
2. Mucuna
3.  Pumpkins
4. Elephant grass
5. Themeda Triandra
6. Tripsacum
7. Ricinus communis (Ikibonobono)

• Training of technical staff of the cooperatives and distribute manual/handout
• Take care of the tree seedlings up to the planting stage
• Transport the tree seedlings to the distribution sites where farmers will pick them
• Distribute the tree seedlings to coffee farmers of 5 cooperatives in Rwanda
• Replacement of dried seedlings after transplanting in the farm
• Deliver the tree seedlings during agreed period of planting season
• Follow the terms of agreement and the condition as stated in the contract

The service provider will be required to obtain and arrange for, at its cost and risk, all supplies and raw materials required for the provision of the services and deliverables, including, without limitation, the seeds, the land and water for the nurseries, and all necessary labor, and also to bear all costs and duties relating to the services, including, without limitation, transportation cost.
