Position Overview
The Public relations and Communications Officer will be a key member of the Legacy Brands Rwanda team working to enhance the visibility of our work, but also manage the public image of the companies and clients we represent, with the aim of increasing their presence and overall reputation. The officer will be heavily involved in content creation, reporting, social media promotion, Public Relations and event coordination.
Responsibilities

• Develop and put in place communication campaigns and strategies for clients
  
• Arrange interviews with media outlets and prepare and distribute press releases
  
• Create all content for various products (Articles, info graphics, newsletter, magazines etc)
  
• Regularly update and create content for Legacy Brands Rwanda’s website, twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook page and the clients’
  
• Coordinate all events for clients
  
• Coordinate and report on media coverage for clients’ events
  
• Develop communication and branding materials for clients’ programs and events
  
• Support monitoring and evaluation by developing communications materials based on lessons learned, including case studies and reports.
  
• Provide mentoring and capacity building support to junior communications team members and interns
  Required Skills and Experience

• Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
  
• Time Management Skills
  
• Knowledge of computer programs relevant to the role including MS Word, PowerPoint, Publishing, Photoshop, etc.
  Preferred Skills and Experience
  
• Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Related Field
  
• Public speaking skills
  
• Understanding and interest of Social Media and Design Software
  
• Good command of English, French and Kinyarwanda
