Job Description

• Develop annual media plan and consider it in the budget;
  
• Elaborate and negotiate contracts with radio and TV media for messages’ dissemination.
  
• Put in place mechanisms to keep good image of the organization;
  
• Organize and/or participate in press seminars and conferences involving the organization;
  
• Prepare brief and press releases for the leadership;
  
• Organize radio and TV broadcasts to inform the public on organization’s activities;
  
• Write articles to be published in newspapers on the organization’s mission achievement;
  
• Prepare and submits monthly activity reports to the hierarchy.
  
• Coordinate activities of Public Relation officers under his/her supervision;
  Job Profile
  
• Master degree in Public Relations, Media, Journalism with 2 years of working experience or Bachelor degree in Public Relations, Media or Journalism with 4 years of working experience.
  Key technical skills
  
• Ability tocarry out enquiries/survey from the public, the media, and related organizations;
  
• Able to speak in public at interviews, press conferences and presentations;
  
• Capacity to analyze media coverage;
  
• Knowledge in designing, writing and/or producing presentations, press releases, articles, leaflets, ‘in-house' journals, reports, publicity brochures, information for web sites and promotional videos;
  
• Excellent communication skills;
  
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
  
• IT skills;
  
• Ability to prioritize and plan effectively;
  
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and French.
