This commitment has been reflected among other things in the setting up, of the necessary institutional machinery to manage gender programs in the country.The nature and focus of the Ministry responsible for gender, family and children has evolved over time to reflect the existing challenges and priorities in the Rwandan Society.

Job Description

• Participate in the design and implementation of strategy, policies and programs guiding girls and/or women economic empowerment;
  
• Develop and implement the tools, criteria principles applied in the project evaluation;
  
• Participate in the design of girls and/or women owned projects life cycleand rules for a successful project;
  
• Train women in project design and establish the mechanisms of girls and/or women owned projects intensification;
  
• Support the design and implementation of baseline/midline/and other surveys according to the approved work plan;
  
• Develop an integrated monitoring & evaluation plan with concrete targets in line with results based management for the reporting of girls and/or women owned projects;
  
• Coordinate and assist in all institutional strengthening and capacity building activities related to project design, project running and monitoring;
  
• Gather and analyze relevant information pertaining to girls and/or women project to inspire a smooth planning in the competitive market environment;
  
• Conduct an Economic Value Added analysis of girls and/or women projects in the progress and establish the methods for assessing economic viability of them to take effective decision;
  
• To perform any other duties assigned to him/her in the institution

  Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:
  
• Extensive knowledge of Gender policies and issues;
  
• Ability to conduct policy and analysis and draft proposals;
  
• Knowledge in Monitoring and Evaluation concepts, systems and tools;
  
• High Analytical Skills;
  
• Negotiation Skills;
  
• Knowledge of Project Monitoring practice
  
• Excellent Communication Skills;
  
• Excellent problem solving skills and clear logical sens;
  
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/or French
