Rwanda Grains and Cereals Corporation Ltd (RGCC) is an autonomous joint – venture partnership between Government and Private Sector stakeholders under the governance of a Board of Directors.
RGCC Ltd is registered by Rwanda Development Board (RDB) on 23/01/2012 under company code no. 102557250.
The Government of Rwanda is the major shareholder and other are Foreign and Rwandan company shareholders, mainly operating in Grains and Cereals trading and processing business.
The RGCC major responsibility is to deliver service that will enhance the Grains and Cereals trading system in Rwanda.
Vision
To become a regional and competitive player in Grains and Cereals trade.
Mission
To establish a well structured and profitable Grains and Cereals trading system in Rwanda under a Public – Private Partnership.
Objectives
Rwanda Grains and Cereals Corporation Ltd aims to profitably achieve the following objectives:
1. Efficiently manage the surplus production of Grains and Cereals as well as avoiding short term speculation.
2. Improve the quality of Rwanda‘s Grains and Cereals.

JOB TITLE: Operations Manager
REPORTING TO: General Manager
LOCATION: Kigali, with frequent travel to District zones
CONTRACT LENGTH: Open-ended
START DATE: Immediately.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Operations Manager

Roles and responsibilities:

• Develops commodities sourcing strategies and plan
• Examines and improves company sourcing, quality control and warehouse management procedures
• Oversees warehouses establishment
• Supervises sourcing activities
• Manages warehouse activities: commodity reception and delivery, as well as warehouse management
• Supervises quality control Supervises warehouse managers
• Supervises team under his management
• Manages equipment availed for operations activities
• Provides timely, accurate and reliable business information Tracks, analyzes and reports operations results
• Oversees customer service delivery
• Prospects and identifies new sourcing opportunities
• Works cross-functionally with the management team
• Works efficiently and calmly tight deadlines or other stress factors arise

Qualifications and experience
The person must be a holder of a Master’s Degree in Agronomy, Agri-business, Agro-economy or Master’s Degree in other business related studies such food sciences or business administration with 3 years of experience in a senior management position and two years working experience in the grains sector, particularly in quality control and warehouse management or a holder of a bachelor’s degree in Agri-business, Agro-economy or other related studies such as Business Administration with 5 year of experience on senior management position will also be eligible. Private sector experience and Knowledge/expertise in agriculture value chain development will be an added advantage. Candidates with expertise and experience in grain sector sourcing and storage.

Skills:
