JOB DETAILS:
MeshPower is an exciting new company developing and implementing innovative solutions to the problem of rural electrification. MeshPower develops and operates mini electricity grids in Rwanda. Through these autonomous mini-grids MeshPower offers services such as lighting or cell phone charging to households and businesses, but also productive uses (business, small equipment).

As Maintenance Technician within MeshPower’s Technical/Engineering Team, you will be responsible to make repairs to solar systems (mini-grids, customer issues) across 70 sites and installing systems at new sites. You will work alongside the MeshPower operations team with competencies in the field of engineering and electrical installations, receiving instructions/support from the Kigali Head Office.
In summary, it is a challenging and rewarding job which requires a combination of technical knowledge and organizational skills.

Key responsibilities
1. System Repair: PV panel systems, batteries, DC distribution (junctions, distribution boxes, base stations).
2. System Installation
Involves travel to remote sites in Bugasera and Ngoma.

Required skillset

• Experience installing and repairing solar installations (Direct Current DC distribution)
• Proficient in both verbal and written English
• Organized & conscientious
• University graduate in Electrical Engineering
• Experience submitting written reports/feedback on repairs

Preferred skillset

• Driving license (or Moto license)

Remuneration
The salary will be competitive and commensurate with the applicant’s level of experience
