JOB DETAILS:
a) Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Auditor General, The Legal Advisor will be responsible for the provision of legal advisory services throuL FOR STATE matters, leading litigation, maintaining custo development and interpretation of legal of the institution's seal and legal documents, vetting and drafting of legal agreements for the Office. He/she will provide

b) Job responsibilities
• Provides legal advice on legal aspects of various audit evidences and audit reports of the Auditor General's Office.
• Provides legal advice on cases of misappropriation and mismanagement of Public resources for publication in Auditor General's reports.
• Deal with whole spectrum of contract management both in Public institutions audited as well as the contracts managed by Auditor General's Office.
• Interprets laws and regulations in force for use by auditors during audit;
• Represents OAG in all legal matters including litigations;
• Ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of accounts receivable balances and recovery of non-business debts for Office of the Auditor General.
• Follows up all cases forwarded to the judiciary by OAG;
• To draft and follow up of laws, orders and regulations governing OAG;
• Any other as management may assign.

c) Job requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Law (Upper second-class degree or above)
• Five (5) years proven working experience.
• Diploma in Legal Practice (DLP) is a distinguishing and significant advantage.
• Not more than 35 years of age, and
• Being a Rwandan citizen.
