Background
The Office of the Auditor General was established in 1998 and is mandated by the Constitution of the Republic of Rwanda of 2003 revised in 2015 as the Supreme Audit Institution of Rwanda responsible for the following:

• Auditing and reporting on accounts of all public entities, local administrative entities, public enterprises, parastatal organizations and projects;
• Conducting financial and performance audits (economy, efficiency and effectiveness) in respect of expenditure in all institutions referred to above;
• Conducting accountability, management and strategic audits of accounts m the institutions mentioned above.
  OAG's mission is to promote accountability, transparency and best practices in Government operations as a means of good governance.
  OAG runs different recruitments which the aim is to recruit self-motivated Rwandan Nationals graduating from recognized universities in Rwanda and outside the country.   To fulfill its mandate, the Office of the Auditor General of State Finances wishes to recruit competent, skilled and experienced individual to the position of Legal Advisor.
  Job responsibilities
  The scope of work of the Legal Advisor will include but not limited to the following:
• Provides legal advice on legal aspects of various audit evidences and audit reports of
• Provides legal advice on cases of misappropriation and mismanagement of Public resources for publication in Auditor General's reports.
• Deal with whole spectrum of contract management both in Public institutions audited as well as the contracts managed by Auditor General's Office.
• Interprets laws and regulations in force for use by auditors during audit;
• Represents OAG in all legal matters including litigations;
• Ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of accounts receivable balances and recovery of non-business debts for Office of the Auditor General.
• Follows up all cases forwarded to the judiciary by OAG;
• To draft and follow up of laws, orders and regulations governing OAG;
  Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Law with five (5) years working experience. Diploma in Legal Practice (DLP) is a distinguishing and significant advantage.
• Age limit: not more than 35 years.
