The Development Bank of Rwanda is Rwanda’s only National Development Bank mandated to support Rwanda’s development goals. Over the last years, the bank has undergone substantial re-organization aimed at positioning it as an “innovative and sustainable provider of development finance for socio-economic impact”. Main Responsibilities of the Job
• Producing clean, efficient code based on specifications
• Verify and deploy programs and systems
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
• Gather and evaluate user feedback
• Recommend and provide innovative solutions to business issues or challenges by means of automation and improvements executions
• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting

Core competencies
• Experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks and Database Relationship Management
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills
• Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude

Professional, academic qualifications and experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Technology/ or related field
• Professional certification in IT
• A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in IT in a similar institution
• Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role
• Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
• Advanced knowledge in B2B integration
