JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
• Oversee the Bank's compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure that the Bank's operations are compliant with applicable internal policies and procedures as well as rules and regulations governing the Banking sector.

Key deliverables for this role are:
• Coordinate and review, and report on various operations undertaken by departments within the Bank to ensure compliance with laws, regulations & guidelines.
• Coordinate and carry out compliance assessments at the head office and branches in accordance with the bank's compliance programme, identify areas of non-compliance and provide recommendations on remedial actions required.
• Providing information and advice on the bank's regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
• Review the Bank's policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with laws and regulations.
• Conduct gap analysis for new laws and regulations and follow up to ensure new regulatory requirements are implemented within the timeline provided.
• Assist the Head of Compliance in developing and conducting trainings and awareness on new laws and regulations, and the Bank's policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
• A Bachelor's degree in finance, Management, or related field
• Broad knowledge of Banking operations and Banking sector regulatory requirements
• Sound understanding of Compliance Risk management.
• At least 5 years' experience in the Banking sector, including 3 in Compliance or audit functions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Good planning and organising skills.
• Knowledge of research methodologies and practices.
