The purpose of the Day Care Center is not only to care for children, but to educate, nurture, and support their overall development while also assisting families and communities. 

Job Role & Summary 

We are seeking for a passionate and experienced female Day Care Headteacher based in Gashora. She will ensure that children receive high-quality care and education in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role combines administrative management, educational leadership, and staff supervision to promote child development and meet regulatory standards.

Responsibilities 

• Lead, plan, and coordinate all day care activities and programs.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate (3 months to 2 years of age) learning and play activities.
• Organize professional development and mentorship programs.
• Monitor children’s progress, behavior, and development.
• Ensure the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of every child are met.
• Handle special needs or concerns with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Enforce health, nutrition, and hygiene standards.
• Oversee emergency preparedness and child protection policies.
• Work closely with parents and the community to enhance children’s development.
• Ensure high-quality early childhood education in line with national standards.
• Your assignment will be based in Gashora / Bugesera, therefore required to relocate.

Qualifications 

• University degree in Early Childhood Development (ECD).
• Certificate of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
• More than 5 years of experience in managing day care program.
• Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
